Fyns Grafiske Værksted presents in the new year a fascinating exhibition of graphic works that delve into the techniques and expression of letterpress printing.

Odense the 10th of January - we open the doors to a new and spectacular exhibition that pays tribute to the old and impressive graphic technique: letterpress. The exhibition brings together works from both established and young artists, who in different ways explore the unique possibilities that prints provides to create depth, texture and complex compositions.

Letterpress is a technique where the artist works with a raised surface that is pressed against paper or other material. It can be anything from wooden blocks and metal sheets to linoleum, and it is a method that has been used for centuries to create both art and communication. From the early prints of the Middle Ages to modern experiments, letterpress has always been a tool for conveying powerful visual narratives.

The artists behind the works all have a common goal: to explore letterpress as a living and dynamic process, where no print is exactly the same, and where every detail in the work becomes part of a larger whole.

The exhibition opens on January the 10th at 15-17:00, and can be seen until the 11th of February, when the audience will have the opportunity to meet several of the artists and hear about their work.
