Introduction to CNC

To get started with CNC,please take a look at YouTube. Shaper,here you can research the products Origin,, Studio,, Plate, And trace. Trace.

By Trace Trace you can use your mobile to take a picture of, for example, a drawing made with a 0.5 mm black pen. The drawing can then be saved as an SVG file that can be used on various machines such as Shaper Origin, laser cutters, large CNC machines, foil cutters, etc.

Studio, Studio is a software platform where you can try a demo and save your projects as SVG files that can be transferred directly to CNC machines. You can experiment with different materials such as wood, zinc, copper and nylon.

Feel free to bring your own PC and a digital presentation so that you can work on your own projects along the way.

COLOR-WOODCUT

Traditional woodcut course with colors. Color woodcuts will be taught on multiple plates – one for each color – basically blue, red, yellow and the overprint colors that this can bring. A basic form of color woodcut, which, in addition to the act of carving wood and examining different ways of cutting, is a good exercise in color understanding and training of will and memory. Feel free to bring what you have of wood carving knives, sketches, pencils etc. In addition to the course price, there will be costs for materials that can be bought on the course. Classes are held every 4 days at 10-16:00

KOBBERÆTSNING

The course is primarily aimed at intermediate learners, but you will be met at your individual level.

You will work in copper plates, primarily with line etching and the shades of gray in plain aquatint. Basic etching techniques and printing will be demonstrated and tested.

To make the most of the time, it is a good idea to bring a small sketch (approx. 10×10 cm) for an etching, the motif of which is simple and contains parts with the colors white, black and 2 shades of grey.

Prepared copper plates, tarlatan and paper can be purchased at the course. Cold needles and brushes can be borrowed from Trine.

Kurset er ideelt for begyndere, og vi starter med at arbejde i sort/hvid. Du vil tegne direkte på stenen ved hjælp af specielle blyanter eller tusch.

Du er meget velkommen til at medbringe dine egne tegninger som inspiration.

CYANOTYPI

Cyanotypi er magi og kemi. Det er en printteknik hvor solen bliver brugt som eksponeringskilde. Det er en legende og eksperimenterende teknik, hvor man ikke altid helt kan styre resultatet. Det er også en af verdens ældste fotografiske printteknikker opfundet i 1842 af John Herschel. Teknikken blev brugt i 1843 af den britiske botaniker Anna Atkins til sine smukke og sanselige cyanotypi’er af tang og alger. Ved at blande to forskellige kemikalier og vand opnås en lysfølsom emulsion, der påføres papir (eller andre materialer, der kan tåle at blive lagt i vand). Vi vil eksperimentere med belysningstider, “våd cyanotypi”, tilsætning af salt, krydderier, sæbeskum osv., og vi vil afprøve blegning og toning af cyanotypierne. Medbring gerne blomster og planter (evt. pressede) og digitale fotos som kan bruges til at lave transparenter, flade genstande, skabeloner … og solskin! Der undervises begge dage kl. 10-16
