Printmaking

for children

Learn how to print

Funen Printmaking Studio, located in the heart of Odense, invites children aged 7–15 to an exciting graphic course. Here they get the opportunity to draw and print in an inspiring environment under the guidance of professional artists and printers.

The course introduces different techniques and gives children who love to draw and experiment the chance to transform their ideas into unique graphic works. We finish with a small exhibition, and each child gets a collection of their own prints to take home as a souvenir.

Teachers

Rena is from Switzerland, trained as a teacher and, after a few years of working as a teacher, attended an art academy in Switzerland. After she moved to Denmark, she studied for 3 years as an art teacher at the school for everyday art in Kerteminde. She has, among other things, taught visual arts at a free and a public school for 24 years, taught at two art schools and for twelve years at summer college courses. She is fascinated by different graphic techniques and forms of expression and looks forward to sharing this fascination with you.

Kirsten Hesselager is a painter and graphic artist, educated at the Funen Art Academy. For many years, Kirsten has taught both children and adults, e.g. on Johs. Larsen Museum at Kerteminde. Kirsten is fascinated by nature and advocates for us to use non-toxic graphics in teaching. www.kirstenhesselager.dk
